Vijai Patchineelam (1983, Rio de Janeiro)Has an MFA in Experience Design at Konstfack University College in Stockholm, Sweden and a BA in Industrial Design at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. At the end of 2011 was selected for the Itaú Rumos Visual Arts award. In November 2010 showed in his second individual A Pair of Lungs, A Lack of Faith in Gallery Seven Art Limited in New Delhi, India. Was selected for the Iberê Camargo Foundation Grant in 2008, taking him to a residency at The Blantom Museum of Arts in Austin, United States. Participated in collective show Unfinished Analogies, 2011 at Centrifuge Konsthall C, Stockholm; Back, Forth and Round, 2009 at Thomas Erben Gallery, New York; Zoation Painting, MNA in 2008, La Paz, among others. Currently in residency at JACA Centro de Arte e Tecnologia, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
